The success of Tron’s over the last few days is beginning to show with Justin Sun’s latest tweet. A little while ago on the 8th of December, Justin Sun tweeted that he had just celebrated his first ever birthday as a billionaire. The Tron Foundation went on to issue a statement in response confirming that he was the first individual in history to have done so.
The statement from the Foundation also stated that it had donated the equivalent of $100 million to his account, which he had earned in transaction fees over his 18-month tenure as CEO. This seems like a fair amount of money for Sun to have been allotted, considering the number of things he has either helped to establish or supported in Bitcoin (and beyond). His contribution to crypto hasn’t been limited to interaction with Ethereum either.
Sun has been an integral part of some of the most prominent companies in crypto, including Bitcoin wallet and messaging app, Binance. He announced recently that he would be partaking in the incubation of a new crypto exchange, which would likely launch very soon following his birthday. In the past few months, Sun has also been working tirelessly on a blockchain-based platform for entertainment called TRON Arcade. He has since taken to social media to make announcements about the project’s progress.
Justin Sun also posted a video on Twitter of the project’s progress thus far. In the 5-minute video, Sun explained how TRON Arcade would not only allow arcade players to compete with one another, but that the platform will also let them use their token rewards to create and develop new games.
The announcement comes at the end of this exciting period for TRON. The token has seen a massive surge in popularity, and as of the time of writing it is up by over 3% and is trading at $0.02. The success of the company’s native token can be attributed to some fervent activity within the TRON community, as well as positive press from multiple high-profile news outlets, such as Forbes and The Next Web.
