Ross Cameron is an around-the-clock trader who founded one of the most successful trading platforms. Aside from his role as CEO of his trading platform, he is a responsible husband and father to two boys. When he’s not busy trading or at home, he likes working on classic cars, sailing, mountain biking, and playing tennis.
His passion and interest in trading began in the 5th grade after he discovered his uncle had hit the jackpot in the stock market. In 1997-1998, when Ross Cameron was in the 7th grade, his school did a correlative semester on the stock market. He learned quite a bit about playing the stock market.
Also, he began using his knowledge by buying and selling stocks in his spare time. However, his dream of amassing wealth in the stock market experienced a major setback when he joined high school. His career as a trading expert was just beginning. In 2001, while still in high school, Ross Cameron opened his first trading account and purchased shares from different companies.
However, he didn’t understand the stock market well enough and wasn’t making enough profits. As a result, the financial and trading mentor turned to other jobs, such as lawn mowing and being a pool boy. After graduating from high school in 2003, Ross Cameron enrolled at a college in New Hampshire, where he took a course in teaching. However, he was forced to drop out after his father was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2005.
After his father died in 2007, Ross enrolled at Vermont College and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2009. After receiving his share of $100,000 from his father’s estate, his interest in stock trading peaked. Ross Cameron´s friend, who had made a fortune trading in the stock market, inspired him to take stock trading more seriously, and that’s how his journey to becoming a successful full-time trader started.
