Happy Joe’s serves breakfast Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm in the Downtown Los Angeles location and 8:30 am to 2 pm Saturdays. This, at their Santa Monica location (next door). They also have locations in West Hollywood and Studio City (Culver City) and several satellite restaurants throughout Southern California.
The outstanding Happy Joe’s pizza parlor was founded in 2005 by Joe “Joe the Baker” DeRosa, who has been making pizza for 25 years. He started making pizzas on the side while attending culinary school and working nights at D&D Deli during college. At the time, there were very few quality options for pizza in Los Angeles, so Joe worked hard and created a name for his pizzeria.
The first location was on 7th and Broadway St., downtown Los Angeles, where it operated from 2005 to 2012. The second location opened briefly after the first in 2012, at 929 Santa Monica Blvd. This second location is no longer open for business as of March 2013. In May 2016, a third Downtown location opened in the financial tower of Century City South Tower Building located at 11000 Santa Monica Blvd. Happy Joe’s is known for their fresh lean meats, breadsticks, and various dressings baked daily onsite.
