Ron Gutman Launches On/Go Rapid Tests

Ron Gutman explains that COVID-19 diagnostics developer Intrivo recently contributed more than $1 million of testing supplies. These, including its outstanding and newest On/Go rapid tests and population health management system, to Ukrainian hospitals and clinics. The donation came shortly before Intrivo software warned of an impending spike in coronavirus cases worldwide.

“We became extremely worried,” Intriva CEO Ron Gutman stated in an interview with Fierce Medtech. “It seemed that the combination of a refugee camp and COVID would bring about destructive results.” “Ukraine is one of the countries hardest hit by the coronavirus crisis,” said Gutman, CEO of Intrivo Health Solutions.

“We’re grateful to our partners who have helped us get medical equipment and supplies to Ukraine, where they can help save lives.” But, Ron Gutman shares, more than merely mailing off supply was needed for the CEO, who wished to see and understand the problem.

So last month, Gutman accompanied the aid kits on their journey to Lviv, where he spoke with healthcare professionals and patients about the aid required from the rest of the globe and recorded the entire trip in a video. Ron Gutman returned to the United States to send more COVID testing supplies and a “wish list” of other items.

Up to now, these items are the ones that are desperately needed to help hospitals in Ukraine, as Ron Gutman shares. He said that thanks to a wave of donations from pharmaceutical companies, medical supply vendors, and international governments, they’re well stocked in essential medications and equipment. But they’re still in need of some supplies — many of them can come from small healthcare businesses — to treat diseases that aren’t immediately apparent but are common, nonetheless.
