Tom Keane is a tech industry veteran with over 20 years of experience as a designer, developer, and entrepreneur. He is currently Corporate Vice-President of Azure Global at Microsoft and is responsible for driving new revenue opportunities and expanding intra-regional momentum. Tom has led a successful project to grow Azure’s customer base in the U.S., Canada, and the United Kingdom.
Tom Keane was Director of Project Management for Microsoft’s Smart Cities initiative. This focuses on developing intelligent cities worldwide. Under his direction, Microsoft announced that it would offer cloud-based services in China through partnerships with local hardware manufacturing partners Lenovo, Haier, and Baidu. 
He has been instrumental in helping to facilitate these partnerships bringing the first one to life in May 2017. He led the launch of Azure Sphere and Azure Sphere Security App Platform (SAP) on iOS and Android mobile devices. As the general manager for Azure App Service, Tom Keane helped accelerate the growth of the Azure App Service from under 20,000 apps to over 1.3 million apps in less than 18 months.
He was named one of Microsoft’s “Top 25 Sales and Marketing Executives”. “Forbes” recognized Keane as one of their “Top Sales Leaders” for two years. What is most admirable about Tom Keane is his focus on giving back to the community and his dedication to giving back to people in need. He works with a non-profit called CLIP (Collaborating for Life Intervention Program).
This program focuses on helping families struggling with substance abuse and other challenges, as Tom Keane explains. Many of the cloud services engineer´s former employees have also joined and contributed financially to the Collaborating for Life Intervention Program organization’s efforts. Tom Keane’s dedication to his work and community has made him a role model. He exemplifies what hard work and dedication can bring to people’s lives. His passion for helping others and giving back is something that he inspires in everyone around him.
