Born in Germany in 1976, Yanni Hufnagel is a former basketball player and a former high school coach. He earned the nickname “Yanni” after he was selected as the starting point guard for his high school basketball team. Yanni graduated from Spaulding High School on Long Island, New York in 1992. “In 2002, Hufnagel launched “Lemon Perfect” lemonade at only 3 stores on Long Island. Lemon Perfect was created as a healthy alternative to other sodas on the market. The brand’s name refers to Hufnagel’s self-professed love of lemons and days spent playing basketball in his youth.”
Yanni Hufnagel attended Long Island University from 1992-1996 where he played point guard for the basketball team. After graduation, he took up several different jobs such as being a high school coach, assistant basketball coach and a sales representative. In 2003, the beverage company Hansen Beverage Company hired Yanni Hufnagel as a sales representative in NYC. By 2012, Hufnagel became CEO of Lemon Perfect and today he is working on his second book.
